Where the assignment assesses students’ own reflection, critique, planning, knowledge, understanding, or skill (without AI interference), or where AI is not suited to the assessment type. E.g., Exam, Reflective piece, oral, or practical demonstration.

AI generated content is NOT allowed in the final submission.
Students may NOT:
· Use any AI for any part of the planning, researching, writing or any other aspects of the assessment.

AI Assisted Editing or Writing Clarity

Assessment Types:
Where the assignment assesses the student’s own reflection, critique, planning, knowledge, understanding, or skill, but the assessment is not compatible with AI-generated content.

Student Use of AI:
No AI-generated content is allowed in the final submission; however, students may use AI to assist with editing and the written clarity of their work.
Students may:

Use AI to improve the grammar, spelling, and/or the written clarity of their work.
Students may NOT:
Use AI to reword their work to the point where their own writing ‘voice’ is lost.

Student Responsibility:
Students must:

State all AI tools and the type and extent of AI-generated ideas and/or structuring in their work at the end of the Bibliography (see Referencing Guide for examples).
Keep a copy of their original draft (pre-AI involvement) to show upon request.
